Do you have menstrual problem? Do you feel uncomfortable when you are using the sanitary pad you currently have?

  • Packing is NOT FULLY sealed (causing secondary pollution)
  • Crude fabric (causing itch and allergy)
  • Too little absorption (causing leakage)
  • Poor ventilation (causing hot and humid)

Majority of the sanitary pad in today’s market contains fluorescent agents, fluff pulp and black cotton. All these materials are invisible killers and have no secure guarantee.

🌷Missoxy is a hygienic sanitary napkin.

  • Single piece used 360 degree vacuum aseptic packaging.

Reviews: Museums in Kuching, Sarawak

1. Ethnology Museum

Address: Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Taman Budaya, 93400 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

In my humble opinion, this is one of the best museum in Kuching. They have a mini cinema to show the beliefs of two major ethnics in Sarawak. The stories were really cool! They way they present information using few high-technology gadgets may increase your interest in knowing more. You should go and find it out. The interior design is modernized although the exterior looked historical.

Entrance Fee: None.

2. Sarawak State Museum

Address: Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Taman Budaya, 93400 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

Sarawak State Museum is the oldest museum in Borneo. The interior design remains classic and without any air-conditioner. Please be prepared to sweat few seconds after you enter until you leave the building. They had traditional house modals and Shell exhibition on petroleum industry in Sarawak. There are too many information you can get over here. Besides that, no one is allowed to take photos inside this museum (so we had few photos outside).

Comparing to Sabah State Museum, I prefer Sabah State Museum where I feel comfortable (not sweaty and sticky) and read all the information provided. At the same time, Sabah State Museum has clean washroom which is free of charge! Nevertheless, Sabah State Museum does collect entrance fee but Sarawak State Museum does not. Please do not hesitate to donate some money for the government to keep their museums tho. ❤

3. Natural History Museum

Address: Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Taman Budaya, 93400 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

There is nothing much over there. It looked big and you must be estimating that it was going to be a nice museum, but the truth is just opposite of what you can think of it. It is air conditioned but you barely get any new information over there.

Entrance Fee: None.

4. Textile Museum

Address: 5, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, 93000 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

It’s located just opposite of the main post office in Kuching. The post office can be one of your favorite places to take photos. Sadly, my boyfriend does not like/know how to take nice photos, so I do not have any photo at that place! Back to the topic, the textile museum is a little creepy for me. They used too much of human modals to show traditional weaving, especially in a dimmer room.

Entrance Fee: None.

5. The Cat Museum

Address: Bangunan DBKU, Bukit Siol, Jalan Semariang, Petra Jaya, 93050 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The place where you can buy souvenirs for your friends and family. If you love cats, you definitely will love this museum as they have plenty of collections and information about cat.

6. Fort Margherita and Brooke Gallery

Address: Petra Jaya, 93050 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

It’s another amazing museum in Kuching! You can learn about the Brooke history in Sarawak and there are numerous locations, inside and outside the building, which can be great places to take pictures!

In short, enjoy reading the materials in every museum and take pictures as much as you can ’cause you may not want to visit Kuching again. Okay, maybe if you do, you might want to go back for food instead of visiting the museums again. Anyway, I had a great time staying in Kuching for four days three nights. I wish you all could have a pleasant visit to Kuching too!

Stay tuned.

Average Rating: 5.3/10

Review: It has a peaceful and quite environment however the price of food and beverage are slightly high. A number of tables is covered with blank paper and given a cup of crayons which allow customers to draw. You can stay in the cafe for the whole afternoon as the scorching sun is gonna give you sunburn. For photographers, Old Courthouse can be one of your favorite places to take photos. It was the administrative centre of Sarawak government back in 1870s.

Mira Cake House

Review: This is one of the cake houses in Kuching where you can buy kek lapis. They bake a variety of kek lapis and also provide samples for customers to taste them. However, you need to go across Sarawak River to reach Mira Cake House. The shop is quite warm and the exterior wall of the shop is painted red. It was somehow irritating (eyes hurting!).

P.S: Rated three out of five for the tastiness ’cause I am not a fan of kek lapis.

Review: It is so much cheaper than eating seafood in Kota Kinabalu. With the same amount and type of dishes I ate here, it may cost at least RM150 at seafood restaurant in Kota Kinabalu. For those who wish to try seafood in East Malaysia with a low budget, you are greatly encouraged to visit Top Spot Kuching.

Review: My boyfriend and I had a very bad experience dining in this restaurant. We waited two bowls of mee for an hour! He reconfirmed our order with the chef after 30 minutes of waiting, the chef told him that the next order he was going to prepare was ours(and showed the paper which our order was written). However, after 15 to 20 minutes, we had not receive our order but newly came customers got theirs! We were mad and asked the chef for our mee again. At that moment, the chef was unable to find the paper with our order and claimed that the paper flew away, he did not prepare the mee for us. He knew we were frustrated as we stayed in his restaurant for almost an hour, so he took our order once again, then immediately cooked for us. Moreover, the staffs were unfriendly and service was bad. According to websites, it is one of the best kolo mee in town, but you need to be extremely patient if you wish to have a meal in this restaurant. They have poor management.

2. Open Air Market

Address: Open Air Market, Jalan Power, 93000 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Morning- Hock Heng

Hock Heng is one of the stalls. We ordered kolo mee(red), char kuey teow and laksa from Hock Heng and two mugs of fresh soy milk from the stall two units next to Hock Heng.

Prices: Kolo mee (RM3.50), Char Kuey Teow (RM3.50), Laksa (RM4.50), Soy milk (RM3.50)

Review: There were only few stalls open in the morning (around 9 AM). Red kolo mee at Sin Lian Shin taste slightly better than that at Hock Heng. Besides that, soy milk is smooth and its sweetness is perfect.

Afternoon- RG Ais Krim Bergula Apong

Favor of the day: Chocolate

Business hours: 1 PM to 5 AM

Prices: RM2.20 (small), RM4.80 (medium, shown in the photo above), RM8.50 (big), RM2.50 (bun)

Review: There was no queue as mentioned over the internet when I arrived or I was simply lucky? It was too sweet for me and the ice cream melt fast. Only two toppings are available: peanuts or cornflakes, nonetheless, they offer different favor everyday. For your information, gula apong is palm sugar.

Night- The seafood market next to Open Air Market

There are numerous seafood stalls in the market. We had our dinner around 6.00 p.m. and only three seafood stalls were opened.

Food ordered: Butter prawn, chili frogs, deep fried squid and sweet leaf bush with eggs.

Price: RM53.00 (excluding drinks)

Review: Butter prawn and sweet lead bush were awfully salty. Salts could be clearly seen on the fried butter. Comparing to the saltiness of butter prawn, that of sweet lead bush with eggs was bearable, at least it tasted better when we ate it with rice.

3. Fock Hai Tim Sum Cafe

Address: 52, Jalan Padungan, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

Business hours: 6 AM to 12 PM

Food ordered: Chicken pau (RM3.20), red bean pau (RM1.30), sio bee (RM2.70), ha kau (RM2.70)

Ratings (out of five ⭐️)

Tastiness: ⭐️⭐️

Value of money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Service: ⭐️⭐️

Average Rating: 4.7/10

Review: Chicken within the bun was tough. I could not divide the bun into half using hands, it was not chewy at all. The sauce used for chicken pau was very similar to pork pau (big pau). If you are allowed to eat pork, you may try their pork pau. Apart from that, red bean paste was filled only half of a bun and the paste was dry. Sio bee was small and not juicy. Last but not least, ha kau this restaurant served was not purely prawn. Ha kau is supposed to be made by 100% prawn. They mixed prawn with pork, I barely tasted prawn in the ha kau.

Review: Harbour View Hotel, Kuching

Harbour View 2

Address: Lorong Temple, 93150 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia

Contact number: +60 82-274 666

Stayed in a deluxe king room for two nights.

  2. Hotel facilities: ⭐️⭐️
  3. Room conditions: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  4. Space of the room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  5. Customer service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  6. Value of money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OVERALL: 8.0/10

The Pros:

  1. Strategic location. 7-eleven is just beside the hotel. Tua Pek Kong Temple, one of the attraction places in Kuching is right in front of Harbour View Hotel.
  2. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Comfy bed, pillows, blankets as well as the sofa.
  3. Staffs are polite and the service they provide is excellent.

The Cons:

  1. There was only one receptionist available when I arrived the hotel.
  2. Iron and ironing board are not kept in the room. If you wish to iron your outfits, you need to go to a common area which you need to ask their staff for the location.
  3. This hotel did not provide room slippers.

I really enjoy staying over here although it only provides basic facilities (no swimming pool or gym). It is highly recommended hotel to stay!

Review: Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kuching

Address: 93756, Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Contact number: +60 82-532 222

Stayed in a deluxe king room for a night.

Cost: RM199.30 (included GST, via booking.com)

Ratings (Out of five ⭐️)

  1. Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  2. Hotel facilities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  3. Room conditions: ⭐️⭐️
  4. Space of the room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  5. Customer service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  6. Value of money: ⭐️⭐️

OVERALL: 6.7/10

The Pros:

  1. It has a strategic location whereby waterfront is just in front of the hotel and 24-hour restaurants(KFC and McDonald) are just nearby. There are few restaurants, pubs and reflexology in that area. You can walk around to discover more.
  2. Toiletries they provided were superb. However, you need to special request for disposable razor, comb and toothbrush set.
  3. 5-star customer service is provided. Their staffs are polite and being helpful. They provide luggage storage. In addition, when you buy too much kek lapis and the mini fridge in the room could not store it, you can hand over to the reception counter and receptionist will keep it for you into a bigger refrigerator.

The Cons:

  1. There was a strange smell in the room. Its bathroom, pillows, bed and blanket as well as its wardrobe had an unpleasant odor.
  2. The exterior design of this hotel is old, it is the same goes to its furniture in the room! The sofa, the bathtub, the carpet, the wardrobe and many more!

The pros for staying at Riverside Majestic Hotel are more than the cons listed. Nonetheless, if I am going to Kuching for the second time, I will not choose this hotel again due to the strange smell. As I walked by the walkway to go to my room, I felt like I was in a haunted hotel (sorry to say that).

In short, it’s uncomfortable to stay overnight in this hotel although they have marvelous customer service.
